selection and performance

One of dillo's main advantages is it's incredible speed and efficiency, but somehow the selection code doesn't seem to keep up with this. it seems to have some scalability problem that makes it use excessive amounts of cpu when selecting large parts of complex pages (tables), and slows dillo down to a crawl even on my p3/750 (which dillo usually runs lightning fast on). to reproduce the problem, load: http://users.auriga.wearlab.de/~r00t/table.html (a table of 21x21 cells), and then try to select all cells by dragging from the top left to the lower right. cpu usage grows immensely, and near the end it slows down to a crawl. the script used to create the table (to avoid duplicate work if you need other test-cases): { echo '<html><body><table border=1>';for a in $(seq 0 20);do echo '<tr>'; for b in $(seq 0 20);do echo '<td>'"$a-$b"'</td>';done;echo '</tr>';done; echo '</table></body></html>';}>table.html if this is a known limitation, i'm sorry to bug you with it, but it seemed worth reporting. Suggested mouse short-cuts

I would like to suggest two mouse shortcuts for the Forward and Back buttons. To go back (like clicking the Back toolbar button) the user holds down the right mouse button and, while continuing to hold down the right button, clicks the left mouse button. The browser then goes back in the page history. To go forward (like clicking the Forward toolbar button) the user holds down the left mouse button and, while continuing to hold down the left button, clicks the right mouse button. The browser then goes forward in the page history. After a little practice this makes navigation through the page history very quick becuase you don't have to keep moving the mouse onto the toolbar. Having successfully compiled 0.7.0, 0.7.1 & 0.7.12, I am unable to compile 0.7.2. I get the following errors which mean very little to me. cache control patch (fixes bug #161)

Patch is against current CVS: http://www.zone.ee/myzz/dillo/dillo-cache-control.diff Makes dillo to not cache by default 302, 303, 307 redirections and recognize expires and cache-control headers (according to rfc 2616). It also allows configuring minimal expire time (for text and images) and do not reload images which are on different domain than the page which embeds them (attempt to fight against banners that tell they shouldn't be cached).

odd problem

I like Dillo, but have one persistant problem with it. I can't read Dilbert until I've read the New York Times. For some reason the Dilbert site will never show any of the images but it does show background, text, etc. If I cruise down my mail further to the NYT email and read it (which always shows all the images) then I can go back to Dilbert and then everything shows up. succesfull dillo 0.7.2 compilation

Hi, just reporting an almost succesfull dillo 0.72 compilation (is a linux from scratch machine, so evrthing is up to date). A minor detail i used ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc and the make install part created an /etc/bin with dillo and the bm plugin inside it. that's no problem anyway.
