Changing font_factor dynamically

[Please pardon me if this is the wrong forum for such feature requests.] I'm using dillo with familiar on my iPAQ. One thing I'm regularly missing is a possibility to change the font_factor setting dynamically: For the iPAQ's small display (240x320 minus a few decorations), a single font_factor just can't fit for all different pages: For some pages, I'm glad with font_factor=0.5, with others, font_factor=0.6 is readable. I guess it's a major effort to implement a dynamical switch of the font_factor (e.g. using a pull-down menu), but I would be glad if you could discuss this feature request. -l switch not working if <base href="..."> is given

Hi, The -l switch is meant to disallow retrieving external resources. This works fine unless the html file contains a <base href="something"> tag: in that case, the external resources are retrieved. To check this, I made a test case with an excerpt of the google search page. The attached html files just display the google logo in a table. These two attached html files differ in that "index.html" has the <base> tag commented out, making it non functional, whereas in "index-base.html" it is taken into account. To test this bug, save both html files in a directory. Then create there a subdirectory called ./images where you save the logo.gif. (This is meant for index.html where the missing <base> defaults it to the current directory. In that case, dillo index.html will show the logo, as expected). Then run dillo with the -l switch on the two files: dillo -l index.html index-base.html. The index-base.html will show the logo retrieved from http://www.google.com/intl/en/. The expected behaviour is to not retrieve it. I'll try to look into this bug this weekend, but I'm not so familiar with dillo's internals, so do not expect a miracle. I nearly forgot, this is the released dillo 0.7.0. Cheers. -- Melvin Hadasht

Activating bookmarks menu crashes Dillo 0.7 ?

Hi, Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? Following the instructions in dillo-0.7.0/INSTALL, I configure, compile, install and run Dillo, then click on the Bookmarks menu. If dillo is compiled like this: ./configure --prefix=$HOME make && make install-strip upon installation, the install script will try to see it $HOME/etc dir exists. Why this ? Dillo may look in /etc/dillorc if there was no .dillo/dillorc file in $HOME, but since $HOME/.dillo/ exists it is only logical that the script should try to install the rc file in $HOME/.dillo and not $HOME/etc Therefore I suggest that the script should look for $HOME/.dillo not $HOME/etc and it would not be a bad ideea if the dir is missing for the install script to create it... Hi, I'm typically a lurker, but I thought I would release a few modifications I made to dillo. My patch also includes someone's (I can't recall whose) patch that adds external downloading and opening in external browsers. I thought someone may be interested. Here are the modifications I made: <alt>-w closes the window (instead of <ctrl>-q) <alt>-b in viewport opens a new window with the bookmarks <alt>-u view source <ctrl>-r in viewport reloads the current page (bookmark button loads bookmarks in current viewport <ctrl>-h loads homepage vi-style scroll (h = left, j = down, k = up, l = right) <esc> button stops loading the current page (this has no effect on images--they still load if page is fully loaded) The patchfile can be found at: http://www.xmission.com/~locutus/various-locutus.patch and the modifications above can be seen at: http://www.xmission.com/~locutus/index.html#dillo If you find this useful, enjoy!
