The fact is, when you have to pick which one of two similar libraries to include, just adding the second isn't an option. We're talking about fitting everything, including printing, on a 32M or 64M flash, and every redundancy counts against you. You can't just go willy-nilly installing extra libraries because an application only compiles against version 1, but not version 2. The rest of the items in the project are compiled against gtk2. So yes, in order to use Dillo, it would need to be fixed to be compiled against glib2 and gtk2, because just installing another set of libraries is not an option. ljl

[Dillo-dev]Starting with a blank page

With 0.8.2 I could use "file:/dev/null" as start_page to begin with a blank page. However, it seems that using the same trick with 0.8.3-rc1 leads Dillo to complain that it "can't start dpid daemon". Should this be fixed or should there rather be something like "about:blank" to start with an empty page?

[Dillo-dev]Invoke application upon clicking a link

Hello all, I would like to be able to click on a link and invoke a local executable. As you might already know, this is similar to the activeX IE or the shell model in mozilla. And this is for a quick and dirty demo, so security isn't an issue. Is there a way I can do this with dillo (short of modifying the source code). The HTML will be on the local machine too. [Dillo-dev]external viewers patch

Hi everybody, I have extended Lars Clausen's external viewers patch and ported it to Dillo 0.8.3. While it is still under development (it doesn't use the dpi framework yet), it is already a stable and essentially complete implementation of RFC 1524, and at least to me Dillo is much more useful if it can display PS and PDF files, for instance.
