Dillo & Sylpheed-Claws integration page updated

Hi, I updated my pages concerning the integration of Dillo as an HTML mail viewer in Sylpheed-Claws. New screenshots reflecting the use of Dillo 0.7.0 were also added. The plans concerning Sylpheed-Claws were included, too. The URL is: http://melvin.hadasht.free.fr/home/dillo/sylpheed/ To summarize: currently, and not before Claws 0.8.11, Claws must be patched with the patches I provide in that page. It is planned that Claws 0.8.11 will officially include support to embed Dillo to view HTML mail. The current version of Claws is 0.8.9 and 0.8.10 is soon to be released. Dillo cvs and 0.7.0 and newer do not need to be patched anymore. Best regards -- Melvin Hadasht

Does FTP work? The page about achieved goals states that: "Fixed the plugin handler (FTP works again)" ? Any info about this?

Hi there! I tried to make the release from where I'am now, but there're still some issues pending. For instance: the bookmarks server doesn't work when there's no bm.txt file, the conversion from the old format is not automatic and most importantly, bm_srv12.c code should be inside the final tarball. Some of those were fixed today (not commited yet) and the latter is pending. The problem is I don't know when I'll be able to reconnect, but in the meanwhile I will work on finishing the 0.7.0 tarball, so the next email should be something like a test petition for the candidate tarball. So far dpi over unix sockets has been tested in GNU.Linux and *BSD environments. See you soon Jorge.- PS: please keep reporting any further troubles you may find. Livio and Sebastian are still online and can take care of it.

The problem is the time gap between 'exec' and the dpi-program being operative. It should be minimal when the programs is on a local HD, but NFS may take some time. I added the wait cycles for this case, and don't know the "canonical" way to do it. Yes it could be done with a gtk-timeout function or something akin but the wait cycles were the simplest thing to begin with. ;) Cheers Jorge.-

(now with autoconf/automake stuff renewed in CVS, and the new bookmarks server tarball I hope it get easier to test and send some feedback!) With respect to staying alive, I also think it should end after closing dillo. Maybe sending a termination request at exit time could work fine, but I need some time to think about it... In the meanwhile, I changed the "sun" variable and also initialized "addrsize" as Melvin pointed out. AFAIU this doesn't affect those using GNU/Linux. Now you can download the latest bookmarks server and test all the stuff. Note: the new bookmarks server tarball has a short program and instructions to test permissions on *BSD machines.
