Hi! I'm a new user of Dillo and I'm really interested to play with it. Currently I intend to make dillo accept keyboard input(tab and enter key) rather than mouse input to select and click the hyperlink, button, textfield, etc on the web page. Currently if I press tab key, it can only move the focus between the button, and textfield. It doesn't move focus to the hyperlink.Could you please give me idea how to do it? My second question is how to apply patch for dillo? Where should I put the patch? I experience hunk failed when I try to install a patch for dillo. Thank you very much for your help. Jörgen, and everybody I just noticed that GMANE is forcing javascript to display mailing list searches :(. Well, we have the relevant dillo-dev mail folders, so maybe it's time to provide that service from our web site. There surely are good programs for doing this. Does anyone know of a good candidate? (the problem is: given a set of mailfolders, provide a search engine with an HTML interface to them). -- Cheers Jorge.-

Hi, I didn't see, in docs and config file, how to configure the mailto: protocol in order to redirect it to a mail client specified in dillorc config dile. Does I need a patch for this feature ? [Dillo-dev]resuming from offline gap due to ISP change

Hi there, After changing ISP I had some unexpected problems trying to access our servers (no HTTP, no MAIL, no SSH). Initially I thought the wearlab was down, but the second day I realized it was a connection problem. It took some time to solve this, but now I'm back. -- Cheers Jorge.-

Hello, I've tried out dillo-0.8.3-rc1 for a few days on a Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 "woody"/i386 system. It compiled and installed cleanly, and I did not encounter any regressions against 0.8.2 yet. The parser changes are a real improvement -- several formerly problematic sites I've tried work now, and the "Detected HTML errors" view produces much more meaningful results. Two small problems I've encountered: - It seems that, if a pair of <a href="..."> </a> tags contains something illegal, like <div>, then the <a> tags are ignored, rather than the illegal stuff inside. That's suboptimal. As an example, look at http://www.kmelektronik.de/ (admittedly a very broken site, standards-wise). The text fragments "Light-Version Versand" and "Light-Version Shop" near the page bottom should really be links. If this is hard to fix, then don't bother. - This one is not new, but I fixed it a while ago for myself and then forgot about it: the "This page uses the NON-STANDARD meta refresh tag..." warning usually occurs inside <head>, but is immediately sent to the parser, which in turn switches its HTML processing state from IN_HEAD to IN_BODY prematurely. After that, head-only tags like <title> and <base> are ignored. A minimal fix is at the end of the mail. (Sorry for my English, any corrections are wellcome). Hello, I hope not bother with my opinions. In the Dillo interface, I think that is good idea a simple speedometer for medium speed. medium_speed = Total_html_size_in_KBytes / Total_time_to_load. This isn't the real speed of line, but is the real speed for load html document. I think that is very easy to make. Can be displayed together the images loaded, and KB loaded. Another question, why Dillo render, and render again and again,when load are in process? This burn a lot of CPU. Explorer and other seems to render at a time. Another more, It's posible make a dialog box that answer the human if want accept cookies from site, this time, always from this site,never from this site,no for this time? Thanks, Fran.

Hi, I'm Florent BERANGER, from Flonix company (http://www.flonix.com) We like Dillo because it's small and fast :) I've just tested the 0.8.3rc1, the rendering is really better :) Here 2 remaining bugs I've found : - some hardcoded accented characters (for exemple use "é" in the place of "é" in HTML code) aren't properly displayed. - the pages background must be white by default (actually grey). We currently working to port the "crystal" icon set to Dillo. Since done, you'll can add it in icons page :) We are very interested by Tabs support feature. I saw some patchs for this feature. How can we compile Dillo 0.8.3 with them ? A few days ago I noticed that GTK+ and GLib are now available through the Cygwin installer, so I started reworking my directions for building Dillo on Cygwin (currently at http://www.hyperborea.org/software/dillo/cygwin.html ). I hadn't tried it since Dillo 0.7.3, so when I built 0.8.2 with the new built-in libraries, I discovered some problems with DPI. First, since Cygwin knows it's running under Windows, it appends .exe to any executable files it builds. (When you run a command in Cygwin, it will look for the file as written, then look for it with .exe added -- so the compiler is really gcc.exe but you can still run it by typing "gcc".) This includes the DPI plugins, which end up being bookmarks.dpi.exe, downloads.dpi.exe, etc. This means dpid will not find them when it looks for available plugins unless you rename them. Second, even after renaming them, I can't get any DPI plugins to actually work. [accept]: Software caused connection abort File permissions on the sockets look the same as they do on a Linux box (srw-------) It may just be something about the way Cygwin handles sockets. Unfortunately I have very little experience with sockets on *any* platform (and very little experience with C, for that matter) Anyway, I figure Cygwin support probably isn't a priority, but I thought I'd point out the issues in case anyone was interested in tracking them down. -- Kelson Vibber www.hyperborea.org
