dillo-2.0 compilation failure
by yngwin＠gentoo.org Oct. 26, 2008

Oct. 26, 2008

Hi, I'm trying to get an ebuild together to get dillo-2.0 into Gentoo Linux' portage repository. But compilation fails for me with: form.cc: In member function ?Dstr* DilloHtmlForm::encodeText(void*, Dstr**)?: form.cc:1261: error: invalid conversion from ?const char**? to ?char**? form.cc:1261: error: initializing argument 2 of ?size_t iconv(void*, char**, size_t*, char**, size_t*)? make[3]: *** [form.o] Error 1 This is with gcc-4.3.2. If anybody could have a look at this and shed some light on it (as I'm not a C++ coder myself), I would be grateful. "Adding a Lightweight GUI and Webmin to Ubuntu Server" http://smallboxadmin.blogspot.com/2008/10/adding-lightweight-gui-to-ubuntu-… Unfortunately the author thinks that the SSL support isn't good enough and uses Firefox instead: Dillo is a simple lightweight browser that would fit into this lightweight theme, however, https (SSL) is in a alpha stage and not well supported. SSL is needed for Webmin. Jeremy Henty

https error handling
by james＠bsdgroup.org Oct. 24, 2008

What do you guys think about limiting the https certificate errors to one per page request, and not one per each item within the page request. Hopefully that makes sense. The issue is when you go to a site like [0] and don't have the issuing cert installed, in this case Valicert and GoDaddy, you get bombarded with tons of dialogs asking you to continue or cancel. I've tried to come up with a way myself, without much luck. Any ideas? [0] https://https.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/order -- James Turner BSD Group Consulting http://www.bsdgroup.org

Why is there still also this sourceforge-list in use? "In use" as in getting spammed. http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_name=dillo-dev&max_rows=… -- Henri Salo <fgeek at hack.fi> +358407705733 GPG ID: 2EA46E4F fp: 14D0 7803 BFF6 EFA0 9998 8C4B 5DFE A106 2EA4 6E4F

dillo in distributions
by akemnade＠tzi.de Oct. 23, 2008

Oct. 23, 2008

Hi, I have looked a bit around. My bitbake files I sent to openembedded are not accepted yet. There are no comments on their tickets yet. The openmoko people have discovered my openmoko package between the debian packages (there was nowhere else a note about them), put a note into their "community update" about it. It is also included in their FDOM distribution and the package is also mirrored on www.opkg.org Greetings Andreas Kemnade
