The Open CD image - update

Hi all, Thanks all for bringing the issue of the faulty Thunderbird application on the SFD The Open CD image to our attention, there is a fixed iso available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=51874. Of course if you've already downloaded the previous version the only change is the inclusion of a working copy of thunderbird so if you don't want to download the whole thing again then replacing /programs/thunderbird/setup.exe with http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/download.sourceforge.net/pub/sourceforge… will work just as well. If you are going to amend the ISO yourself please ensure that you have up to date and trustworthy antivirus software installed. The Thunderbird application is the only one with an error, and our apologies for this oversight. It was overlooked in the madness to get it to you all in time for printing. Please let people you hand the CDs to know about the issue, and feel free to download the updated ISO which has this issue fixed. Happy SFD planning! Only 10 days to go! I have just noticed that the TheOpenCD_SFD2007_Edition seems to contain an install for Thunderbird which reports as 'corrupt' file. I already have a significant number of copies so I will simply be mentioning to those accepting a CD, unless anyone has other suggestions please? -- alan cocks Kubuntu user#10391

Hello all you guys We are trying to move forward our SFD celebrations to 29 September instead of the official date of 15 September. Do you think there could be a problem with that? Most of our members (LCZ) won't be able to make the 15 September date and we have agreed that the 29th will be more convenient. Robert and Pia, if you can see this email please can you respond? 'What is Open Source' Leaflet

I'm trying to edit Melissa Draper's excellent 'What is Open Source?' leaflet using the Scribus source files provided on the SFD wiki and on the geekosophical site (which appear to be slightly different based on md5sums). In either case, Scribus tells me that the .sla files are not in Scribus format. This is with Scribus 1.2.5 on Ubuntu Feisty. Has anyone had better luck editing these? Obviously Melissa was able to. Does anyone with more Scribus experience have any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks Alex Gretlein SFD - Lehigh Valley PA, USA team
