Hi Fred, I was a part of IBM Supercomputing Team for last 5 Years and very recently moved to Cray :). If few students are interested, I can run a show on HPC live practice using open source software. Problem registering Mexican team "Gultij"

Hi again. I need help registering a Mexican team. I'm getting an Internal Server Error on form submission. It could have something to do with the name of México having an accented e. Trying "México/Tijuana/Gultij" as the submitted Wiki URL gives me back an Internal Server Error. Trying "M%C3%A9xico/Tijuana/Gultij" as the submitted Wiki URL says that the Wiki page can't be found. Is this the right place for this matter? Best regards and thank you in advance.

Issue with Confirmation

I had registered my team PULUG for SFD 2014 with wiki link http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2014/India/Chandigarh/PULUG But i didnt recieve any confirmation mail....but after 2days i saw that mail in my spam box, and when i tried confirming...it threw me an error..... " The registration file you are trying to access doesn't exist. This could be happening because you already activated your registration (most likely) or because the URL you are accessing is invalid. " But on my event map it PULUG is visible but in wrong city. What should i do now? Regards Mohit Goyal

The Date Itself

I do realize that Software Freedom Day is an attempt to create a world-wide connection. But I do have a question: Is an event that may be a week off from the actual date, but will get hundreds of attendees, as opposed to an event that will get virtually no attendees, outside the spirit of the date? This is NOT a rhetorical question. A group I belong to went for the latter instead of the former for several years, and has become quite discouraged as a result. There are several major town festivals in my area, but they are a week off one way or the other. I would like to set up a table at a town festival, and am therefore interested in whether it would be just a random Software Freedom demo, or could it be considered a Software Freedom Day event.
