Is there a link to the cities that will hold Software Freedom Day 2024? On the official website at https://digitalfreedoms.org/ we only have a map with links to city pages with some information. Software Freedom Day highlights

Happy Software Freedom Day. Some countries are already celebrating and the rest of us we'll be joining them within the next 24 hours. Please use this mailing list to share how things are going with your events. If you need any information shared on the DFF social media accounts, let me know. I'll be monitoring Mastodon and checking the other social media accounts and trying to boost or like any posts related to #SFD2024 or #SoftwareFreedomDay2024. I'd love to get some traffic about Software Freedom Day going on Mastodon, so if you or any of your SFD attendees have Mastodon accounts, please post. We're working on trying to add a highlights page as a blog post to the DFF web site. If you have videos you'll be showing or digital resources you'll be sharing at your event that you wouldn't mind sharing with other groups, we can add them to the resources page. If you have pictures or recordings or articles about how your event went that you'd like to share afterwards, we'll add them as well. We're hoping the highlights will encourage people who didn't participate in Software Freedom Day this year to do so next year or maybe even create their own event next Software Freedom Day. Tomorrow is Software Freedom Day. Hard to believe it's almost here. Some companies don't allow their employees to download software to their work machines. There are times when you may not have access to your own computer and can't install something on a public machine. That doesn't mean you still can't use Free, Libre and Open Software especially if you have access to the Internet. I've been using #SoftwareFreedomDay, #SoftwareFreedomDay2024, #SFD and #DFF to mark posts. I'll start checking for #SFD2024 on Mastodon if anyone wants to use it. If anyone wants to share Software Freedom Day information, I can boost it on Mastodon for you. Is anyone using Twitter at all? I don't frequent it much but if anyone's using it, I'll start checking there as well. Software Freedom Day CTF!

We are excited to announce the first-ever Software Freedom Day Capture the Flag (CTF) Contest on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST.
