If anyone's hosting any events for Hardware Freedom Day and is unable to add them to the DFF web site, please post about the event to this list. If you have a web page where you have more information, include the link in the information about the event. I would be happy to promote the individual events on the DFF social media platforms. I would also be happy to promote any articles or blog posts people make regarding Hardware Freedom Day 2026. I'm considering doing a virtual event like I did for Document Freedom Day so people who don't have a local event will have another way to participate. If anyone's interested in attending, let me know and I can share the information for joining the event.
I'll mention HFD to a maker event tonight https://www.meetup.com/aachen-maker-meetup/
That would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Laura
Hi Julian, Thanks for complaining about the site. Something indeed went terribly wrong. The form fields that suddenly appeared above the map, shouldn't be there, and were only intended to appear on the 'register event' page. While the software is open, I lack the skills to code stuff personally. But I am looking into it and will be trying to fix the issue with the confusing form. In the meanwhile, I removed the fields that don't belong with the map. Keep in mind that we are basically 4 people who maintain this whole project in our spare time (and the amount differs vastly depending from person to person and from time to time). We have asked for volunteers on multiple occasions, and happily a few people offered to help with the tech, but didn't find them on our chat yet. So "extensive testing on multiple browsers - including old ones" is a task that we don't have the time for. Thus, we're grateful that you pointed us to these bugs. You mentioned that button "Juegen" - can you share me a screenshot of that? I can't see where that is. Thanks, Jurgen Op 16-04-2026 om 21:18 schreef LM:

PS at the aachen-maker-meetup I pulled up android firefox app with https://digitalfreedoms.org/en/hfd It was a mega large font I couldnt handle (I'm used to ffox on FreeBSD PC with (Ctl Minus & Ctl Shift Plus to scale, ) I'm not so used to android ffox app, so it might have been my lack of conversence, but prob. not as I could pull up all OK of: bbc.com cnn.com berklix.com all in smallish fonts that I could expand out to large font with 2 finger stretch. Maybe font size too will get fixed when other things are fixed. All the best,
Sincerely, Laura
