Share your topics and schedule ideas. Let's inspire each other. I'm considering hosting two virtual sessions for Software Freedom Day this year. That way, individuals like me who can't find enough people in their area to hold a local event can also participate in Software Freedom Day. The first session is going to be a general introduction to FOSS and some of the great FOSS programs that are available and will lead into an open discussion. So, those attending can talk about any aspect of FOSS that interests them. I'd like to hold a second session for people who are interested in building or learning how to build the FOSS programs they use from source code using a C/C++ compiler. I'm wondering if it's too much of a niche topic. However, I'd love to connect with other people who enjoy building the programs they use or are considering creating their own unique distro spins. Know of anyone who might be interested in that type of topic?
Hi everyone, We are holding a Software Freedom Day here in Bukidnon, Philippines too. Based on the past SFD event we hosted last year, topics were mostly leaning towards open source technologies, practices, and culture. We are hoping to make it more inclusive in the upcoming SFD Bukidnon 2026, so we can encourage more people from non-tech backgrounds to join. Best regards, Paul On 6/5/26 20:24, LM wrote:
