Hi all,
Just letting you all know we now have over 200 teams already registered for
SFD 2007! Excellent work everyone! If anyone else needs to register, please
do so in the coming 2 days as registrations close the 31st July for teams to
receive schwag. After the 31st, teams can still register to be counted as
part of the event, but they will not receive goodies to help their event
be successful.
Also, we are going through and consolidating all the address changes sent to
us. Thank you all for your promptness!
Cheers,
Pia

Greetings,
I'm currently writing an article to promote this year's sfd. However,
I'd like to be able to include positive impacts that previous events
have brought about.
So, does anyone have any examples of these positive impacts?
Please include your name and the name of the team. Thanks.

Pia, Robert, do excuses for my English, understand me?
Because they consult me that it lists do we use?
This justified one the existence of the Hispanic list and their permanency year
after year.
If you agree we will diffuse it so that the SFD grows.
Not alone in latam, also in Europe and USA there are many Spanish-speaking.
Observations:
The list http://mail.sf-day.org/lists/listinfo/planning-is
it remains hidden, and there is not connection at the 2007.
In http://softwarefreedomday.org/teams/europe
The Spanish team is not:
http://softwarefreedomday.org/teams/Catalonia
Waiting prompt answer, I say goodbye affectionately,
Peter Eisinger
Pia, thank you for your kind response.
Robert, I completly agree, this is the most logical and natural way to do it.
I will be pleased to administering it.
I believe that it is very important to have the list. There are many countries
of Hispanic speech and although each country already have a channel of
national communication, this list will be good to share ideas and experiences
with the growth of the event as our goal.
Because as of today, it is frankly incipient the participation of the
community Hispanic speaker. If we work hard this year, the next one will be
better.
Since 2005 the FLISoL is carried out in Latin america (Latin American
Festival of Free Sofware), participating hundreds of cities in more than
twenty countries.
It would be interesting to have two annual events (one in April and another in
September) of massive diffusion and international integration.
PreguntasLinux.Org has provided successfully support post installfest to the
FLISoL, and we are willing to collaborate in the same way with the SFD.

Robert, I completly agree, this is the most logical and natural way to do it. I

Forum GNU/Linux/*NIX. Support Installfest.-----Pia, muchas gracias por tu amable
respuesta.
Saludos, Peter

Hi!
Can we get the SFD graphics (logo, sun graphic, etc...) to build our
local SFD page?
Is there anything like a build-your-sfd-page kit?

Software Feedom Friends,
Whith the intention that the Software Feedom day expands in the community of
Spanish speakers the mail list was created. [1]
It was already talked with some of you, we think that a more fluent
comunication will be reached on this way.

Cordiales saludos, Peter Eisinger

Hi all,
We recently had a package return to sender from last years Software Freedom
Day and I thought that the photos and story would act as a good reminder to
all teams to ensure they get their contact details right!
