Date of SFD 2011?

Hello All, Perhaps this is too soon to ask, but we here in Singapore were a bit tardy in our planning. The result is that we were unable to reserve the National Library Building's larger, well-appointed (and most importantly) air-conditioned presentation rooms. Are there any free software resources easy to grasp with no more than a glance?... as opposed to all the stuff one who's uninitiated must be motivated and take time to study.
