My preference would be to put the location of the group running the
online event on the map. That way, you can connect with people in
your area and possibly meet some time in the future when things are
safer.
It would be great if anyone doing a virtual online event mentioned
that people from other areas of the world are welcome. If someone
does not have an event in their area, they could check out one of
those virtual events.

Thank you. Good to know. In that case, I'll definitely try to do
something virtually this year even if it's still a small core turn out
like last year.
I've been contacting tech groups in my area and so far, haven't found
anyone interested in attending or getting involved. I've also been
mentioning it on some social media sites and tech forums to see if we
can get more new groups involved with Software Freedom Day.
