Hi SFD teams. Most of you have finished, but a few cities inc. mine (Munich) still have to do theirs (ours on 22nd Oct) http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Resources/ Has some movies & sound, but not many lectures. If any of you gave lectures, could you please put a URL to them on the wiki (or at least post to list) I'm looking for English or German lectures. Wikipedia presentation on SFD Munich

Hi, I could give a presentation on Wikipedia, if you need more lecturers. I'd focus on the history of Wikipedia and explain how Wikipedia works; with maybe a short presentation on the free software MediaWiki behind Wikipedia. Something between 15 and 45 minutes (whatever you like; I think 30 min including question time might be best). I need a beamer with a VGA port. Language can be German or English, whatever the audience wants. About me: I'm 21 years old, studying Computer Science and Philosophy in Munich. I have been a Wikipedia author for five years now, and an administrator for three years. I give presentations on Wikipedia to students and teachers as part of Wikimedia Deutschlands school project. Hi all, Mailman interface fails to show URLs to specific mails in SFD archive. Can you please fix/ enhance ? Detail: I want to point my city team of lecturers from city page of lectures http://www.berklix.org/sfd/lectures/2011.html to a URL of responses to global list To: sfd-discuss(a)sf-day.org Subject: URLs to SFD lectures ? perhaps specificaly starting in middle of thread even, eg at: From: Bas de Lange <Bas(a)basdelange.com> Date: Sat, 08 Oct 2011 07:21:14 +0200 Mailman allows this, See example here: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-announce/2011-October/001388.html observe that browsers (firefox & konqueror) URL window shows specific URL. Now try with SFD: http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/en/community/ no specific URL is displayed just http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/en/community/mailing-lists wherever you go within mailman. I guess it's because SFD is putting mailman in a decorative frame, thus breaking it ? Is [or could] mailman be available outside a decorative frame, to allow specific URLs to be displayed ? Does this request need to be copied to another list eg webbers(a)sf-day.org (where I'm not subscribed) or might someone forward & deal with it ?
