Free Software is a great resource in an emergency. You can freely give copies of the software to anyone who needs it. You have the source code, so you can modify it for your specific needs if it doesn't quite do the job. I can't believe we're only 4 days away from Software Freedom Day 2025. FLOSS question for today, what's your favorite Free, Libre, Open Source music player? I like the lightweight combo of FLTK based flrec that works with sox. Sox, the swiss army knife of sound processing utilities is a very useful program. I'm also a fan of qmmp. Feel free to get some chatter going on about Software Freedom Day on any of the social media platforms you're on. Please use #SFD2025 in your posts so others can find and boost or like them. We have 6 days until #SoftwareFreedomDay2025. To celebrate, let's all share some of our favorite FLOSS programs. What's your favorite FOSS graphics program? Personally, I can't pick just one. Gimp, Inkscape, Graphicsmagick and Imagemagick are great. As are DarkTable, RawTherapee, MTPaint and TuxPaint. However, some lesser known FLOSS graphics programs I like are GrafX2, LodePaint and I.mage. What FLOSS graphics programs do you use?

Just a quick reminder to please use hashtags #SFD2025 or #SoftwareFreedomDay2025 when sharing your Software Freedom Day posts on social media. That way, the DFF will be able to find and boost them. Also, if you have any information you want to get out, feel free to email me or contact me on the #SoftwareFreedomDay channel on Matrix. The DFF can share or like your posts on social media or share information on your events and activities on our social media accounts. I've added a blog page for all things #SFD2025: https://digitalfreedoms.org/en/sfd/blog/software-freedom-day-2025-whats-goi… Feel free to share links to your blog posts, pictures, videos or other multimedia related to Software Freedom Day and I'll add them to the page. Welcome to September. 20 days until #SFD2025. There's still time to register your team if you haven't yet or plan to host a virtual event.
