Hi, Domt.cs did a successful celebration last September 28 at Polytecnic University if the Philippines, With it's theme the FOSS and the environment. A bunch of knowledge has been shared to our participants about mozilla , kahelOS and Sahana. And also the feedback was all good. We are so proud for being a part of SFD2013.

Melbourne, Australia report

Over fifty people attended Software Freedom Day in Melbourne, Australia which ran from 9.30 to 17.00 at 110 Grey Street East Melbourne (Melbourne Unitarian Church hall). The event was jointly organised by Linux Users of Victoria and Free Software Melbourne with the theme of the day was "Free Software for a Free Society". There was six main speakers on the day, covering issues such a content creation with free software, free and open source software in public decision making, privacy issues, the One Laptop per Child project, the organisation of free software communities. In addition to the speakers we had installations of Linux, plenty of t-shirts, software and other paraphernalia giveaways, videos and a free lunch. We had a good Software Freedom Day event in Dallas, Texas this year. The event was hosted by Dallas Makerspace, a local hackerspace. We did not get an exact count for attendance. Estimates varied from 50 to 75 people. We had representatives from Fedora to demonstrate GNU/Linux and give away Fedora T-shirts and CDs. Representatives from CircuitCo demonstrated the BeagleBoard and Intel Minnow free hardware boards running GNU/Linux. We had lots of swag from SFD, FSF, and Creative Commons. (For some reason the EFF did not respond to our requests this year, so no EFF swag). We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for our guests. We had talks on Drupal, Blender, Civic Hacking, GNU/Linux security and privacy, Libre Office, and other topics. Great little event in Guatemala.

Greetings We had a great time with our user group and some guests at USAC(Guatemalan public university). We had some talks with coffee and cookies until noon. Then we ate "Shucos" and carnitas(Local food) and went to a Café to chat the rest of the afternoon. We used 2011 banner and Tshirts for the event as the goodie pack just arrived today(Monday September 30 2013) but I'll save them for next year. Thank you.
