SFD team packs 2012 have been shipped

Dear all, As you may know that all the SFD team packs have been shipped. Each team pack includes tshirts, balloons, stickers, a banner, DVDs and t-shirt labels. There is a how-to for the t-shirt labels, please refer to http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/TshirtLabels You may also apply these labels to any cloth e.g. table cloth. We have done our best to send the same pack to all teams and hopefully you should get them on time for your event. However each year we always have delayed or lost packages, which are really out of our control. On the bright side, since the goodies are not year specific you can always use them later in the year or for SFD 2013 if you get them late. All the best to your SFD preparation! Regards, Pockey

Hi Everybody We, FOSS Bangladesh are planning to celebrate SFD-2012 more than one place, this year. With our huge volunteer support we are planning to a spread out this event. We had already registered and our event in Dhaka is on the event map. Now we want to add/edit more event and places on the map. Editing of the event map is must as because the event places outside Dhaka is not fixed yet. What will be the procedure to edit the event map and add/edit more event places? Dear all, Considering we have had a lot of teams in India in the past years I will be traveling to Bangalore, India and attend the GNOME.Asia Summit 2011 [1]. I intend to talk about why Software Freedom matters, explain a few more things about licensing (based on discussion I have had on IRC with some Indian team leaders), Free Software and Open Source and hopefully run a round table discussion with potential team leaders for 2011. The main motivation has been that for the first time SFI founder, VP and treasurer and I met in 2010 for the 1st time after 3 full years of collaboration, and a lot of things came out of it. I believe getting a chance to sit together and discuss various strategies, event organization and road blocks can be very beneficial for the team leaders who could attend. Looking forward to meeting some of you in person, and hopefully the SFI board will be able to attend other FOSS conferences in the upcoming months in different areas and engage into face to face communication with more team leaders. Countdown in Serbian and Russian

Be aware though that the banner size for the Russian countdown is slightly different: 159x89 instead of 160x90.
