Dear all,
Considering we have had a lot of teams in India in the past years I will
be traveling to Bangalore, India and attend the GNOME.Asia Summit 2011
[1]. I intend to talk about why Software Freedom matters, explain a few
more things about licensing (based on discussion I have had on IRC with
some Indian team leaders), Free Software and Open Source and hopefully
run a round table discussion with potential team leaders for 2011.
The main motivation has been that for the first time SFI founder, VP and
treasurer and I met in 2010 for the 1st time after 3 full years of
collaboration, and a lot of things came out of it.
I believe getting a chance to sit together and discuss various
strategies, event organization and road blocks can be very beneficial
for the team leaders who could attend.
Looking forward to meeting some of you in person, and hopefully the SFI
board will be able to attend other FOSS conferences in the upcoming
months in different areas and engage into face to face communication
with more team leaders.
Thank you very much for your continuous efforts to celebrate software
freedom.
Kind regards,
Frederic Muller
SFI President
