SFD Competition and g3ekarmy photos

Hi everyone, we're wondering in g3ekarmy how was your sfd's going? We're seeing extraordinary photos of the wordwide teams, and we like to share our photos too, there are: https://www.flickr.com/photos/g3ekarmyvg/sets/72157647838709452/ All the place was filled with people interested in foss, we has simoultaneous workshops and conferences all around the place and almost 500 people involved along the Day, was awesome, thanks for making this possible. So we're wondering what's with competition? In past years, we have to upload the pics on a gallery on the wiki, i wonder if we are going to do this for 2014, and what is going on the organization, photo, logo competitions as well. Thanks for the feedback.

"Software Freedom Day - 2014" Bangladesh

Here goes the post event updates of our event no.1 of this year :D ==== In here in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Saturday, 20 September 2014, 16:00 on the venue Daffodil International University, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1205 we started our event on 11:00AM. FOSS Bangladesh Information and Research Secretary Sagir Hussain Khan starts off with the presentation on "Software Freedom Day and the causes we support and joined in with the Global Community". On the other sessions by FOSS Bangladesh Volunteers were -- "Software and Cyber Freedom" presented by T I M Shafiqul Amin, "Free Software - learn the ways of earning" presented by Sharif Ahmmed Mollick, "Software Freedom Activism and Linux Boostup" presented by Habibur Rahman Shadhin. FOSS Bangladesh General Secretary Shazedur Rahim Joardar RING presented the key session on "Open knowledge, Software Freedom, user rights and its necessity". Among the others Faculty members from the Software Engineering Department of the Daffodil International University Mr. Khaled Sohel, Mr. Koushik Sarkar, Mr. Mohammad Manjurul Islam Khan, Mrs. Shikha Anirban and Ms. Tasnuba Jasmin was present and participated in the event. From 14:00 to 16:00 there were GNU/Linux installation and support service free of cost and free for all by FOSS Bangladesh Volunteer Shafiqur Rahman Pallab, Redwan Hasan, Saiful Alam, Mahazurul Karim Maha and the other Volunteers. Pictures of SFD in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada

Although it seemed attendance was a bit lower this year (too many other events in KW happening at the same time!), I thought our Software Freedom Day celebration went quite well. There were a lot of volunteers on hand: for set up, to provide directions and support to visitors, help the speakers keep on time, and clean up afterwards. Not to mention those who created, folded and distributed flyers and posters in the weeks leading up to SFD! Many thanx to everyone! We had an ambitious program this year - four simultaneous streams: Presentations, workshops, a Film Festival and an Installfest. Naturally, this made it impossible for one person to do everything. Hi! Wiki login is your ID on the wiki when you logged in to create the page. The URL team is the part of the url after 2014 where your wiki page stands on the wiki. So if you're organizing an event in Sweden in the city of Uppsala and your team is SFD then the URL part to enter will be Sweden/Uppsala/SFD (as the full URL to your page should be wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2014/Sweden/Uppsala/SFD Is that clear enough now?
