Hi Don, I found a few resources, but it seems the software is always strongly tied to open hardware - and still in prototyping phases. I found these results: * https://blog.arduino.cc/2021/06/02/diafit-is-a-customizable-glucose-monitor… * https://forum.arduino.cc/t/glucometer-with-max30102/1179083/4 It appears these are non-invasive, so won't be measuring blood values (probably making them less reliable) A lot will obviously depend on how technical you are and what level of tinkering you find acceptable. I'm not at all familiar with the world of biomedical devices, but from what I understand, it's mainly a matter of being able to communicate with the device. If you have a blood glucose meter already, you could search for that brand and model combined with terms like "reverse engineering". Have been trying to find what kind of sensor would be used to measure glucose levels in the blood. Couldn't immediately find a result for this, but maybe you can help me on that one. Once we have that, we can search further. What region are you from? This sounds like an interesting project to take on with people in a hackerspace. SFD Highlights page

Software Freedom Day highlights

Happy Software Freedom Day. Some countries are already celebrating and the rest of us we'll be joining them within the next 24 hours. Please use this mailing list to share how things are going with your events. If you need any information shared on the DFF social media accounts, let me know. I'll be monitoring Mastodon and checking the other social media accounts and trying to boost or like any posts related to #SFD2024 or #SoftwareFreedomDay2024. I'd love to get some traffic about Software Freedom Day going on Mastodon, so if you or any of your SFD attendees have Mastodon accounts, please post. We're working on trying to add a highlights page as a blog post to the DFF web site. If you have videos you'll be showing or digital resources you'll be sharing at your event that you wouldn't mind sharing with other groups, we can add them to the resources page. If you have pictures or recordings or articles about how your event went that you'd like to share afterwards, we'll add them as well. We're hoping the highlights will encourage people who didn't participate in Software Freedom Day this year to do so next year or maybe even create their own event next Software Freedom Day. Unlike with in the old site, the new one only has the map, but not textual list of events - this email makes me think this is something we can make better on the website for the future, so thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately it does not seem to be easy enough to do already for SFD 2024, but if Jurgen's reply doesn't give you all the info you're looking for, please just reply and ask, we'll try to give you all the information you're seeking.
