SFD08 Best Event Competition

Hi all, There is a best event competition again for teams participating in Software Freedom Day! There are three prizes for the top three events, a pair of OLPC XOs each! To enter you simply fill in the report form (which will be available around the 18th September) and tick the box to enter you in the competition as part of your report. SFD08 Bathurst Australia

Hi all, In Bathurst we have kicked off a little early. We had a table at the local Computer Fair and despite being a cold rainy day we managed to give away 100 Open Disc 8.07 and over 50 Ubuntu 8.04 LTS CDs. We also handed out about 175 pamphlets inviting people to the official day at Bathurst TAFE on 20 September. Thanks Mani, Rick and Michal for your responses. I think that programs aimed at the education sector are particularly powerful. Would you be willing to contribute to the SFD wiki with some information about these activities for yours? Change event coordinates?

Hello everyone, When I registered our team, we did not know where exactly our event will take place, so I set the coordinates in this Google Maps applet to the center of our city. Now that we know the exact location I would like to correct this. How do I do that, or whom do I have to contact? Thanks in advance! The Computer Professionals' Union (CP-Union) here in the Philippines started already a FOSS @ schools programme. Yesterday, we introduced FOSS to about 1,500 students of a local university.
