On the following SFD site there is a nice leaflet which I and my colleagues translated to polish some time ago. http://softwarefreedomday.org/Artwork Double-folded 'What is Open Source' leaflet: Color background .pdf source files or White background (suitible for b/w photocopying) .pdf source files. Uses mgopen modata font. I'd like to know one thing about this leaflet: who is the original author and what is the license of this leaflet? I need this information to reproduce my translation in large quantities. Dear Mr. Simango, I (we, actually) are trying our best to get the package sent back as I already emailed you. Your last email was October 16th, we're now 6 days later and I have a day job (so do the other volunteers). I don't think you did ever pay for the T-shirts nor am I getting paid to send them to you. Life sometimes doesn't go the way we want (I am a Linux advocate, so I know what I am talking about ;-) ) and we're still trying hard (struggling) to get them shipped (back) to you. Understand the nature of open source and volunteering and please don't email me every 6 days especially since the event is over. Now if you guys have organized a 2nd event or have a deadline or anything special, please let me know. Please note that even if you do have deadline I might not be able to make your wish come true. I will spare you my logistic problems as it is probably not important for you. Now please do believe that we are doing whatever is possible to get those free gifts to you. SFD 2008 - competition deadline extended

Hi SFD'ers, We have extended the deadline for competition entries by one week - the new deadline is 27 October 2008. A quick reminder: we have an event reporting webpage ( http://cgi.softwarefreedomday.org/event_report.html) where team leaders can tell us about their event, and by ticking a box you can enter your team report for consideration in our SFD competition. If your SFD event is judged to be one of the top events, we will send you a pair of OLPC laptops for your efforts! Remember, email reports sent to the mailing list don't count, you'll need to enter the information on the webpage. If you have any questions, please email us at info(a)sf-day.org. The information you submit with your competition entry will be used to help us work out how far Software Freedom Day has come since the first celebration in 2004, and to let our partners and team leaders know how we're performing. Hello Shashi and SFD world, Thanks for the initiative on fine-tuning SFD resource aspects. You have spurred me to continue pursuing the 4th team t-shirt that we paid for, having only received 3 (XLs, an XXL being missing) on delivery. As this is the second year our team has been short-changed on t-shirt purchases, we know that pointing the matter out will lead to it being remedied. Around September 18th Pia replied that 'an XXL is in the mail', but we've heard nothing since and would as readily accept a refund for one shirt at this stage.
