Hi! Thanks a lot for the tip. I was slightly battling with the registration application and wanted it people to be able to register before pinging them. So as the registration just went live I will start following up on spreading the word of CFD. Note that we already have a in-house list of several organization we need to contact. This is something that we will share on the CFD wiki and hopefully people will be able to ping similar organization in their own countries. We also have a countdown almost ready, which should be activated tomorrow I believe. so thank you and happy CFD! Dear Edgar, The logo will remain unchanged so will the website (despite the obvious required upgrade to J!2.5). Illegal Map of India on the DFI website

I was just looking through the SFD Website. http://www.softwarefreedomday.org/map/index.php?year=2011 Suddenly I noticed that the border marking of India are different as per your map. To me it seems to be a serious offence and request you to change the website as per original google maps. Map as per SFD website. We would love to know how to do this, and beside translate the website that already exist, we also want to keep updating the new article into Traditional Chinese. CAPTCHA sequence always wrong.

Are we against freeware? are we against NC-ND? Free Culture is not about promoting free stuff that people are happy to listen too for free regardless of its licenses. Besides from Wikipedia I read "netlabels typically emphasize free distribution online, often under licenses that encourage works to be shared (e.g., Creative Commons licenses), and artists often retain copyright." So why would we be against it? I am not sure I understand your concern in fact, or realize it (it's late here, and Friday night). What is shocking for you, or misleading? which context do you think is needed? We are already in the free culture context, which is about sharing and building upon other people's creations. We don't want to simply take stuff, any stuff and "steal" from those dear artists, like some would say. Fred
