TTCS OSSWIN DVD, a collection of FOSS for Windows available for download

Dear All, Just to let you know the TTCS OSSWIN DVD v0.8.6 a DVD of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for Windows put together by the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society is available as a free download at http://www.ttcsweb.org/osswin-dvd/ This compilation of nearly 100 FOSS for Windows (XP and higher) has detailed information about each program: what the program does, its key features, useful related websites, view a screenshot, find links to the program's website and to download/install the program from the TTCS OSSWIN DVD from the web browser. v0.8.6 features the most updated software versions as of September 8 2012 in time for Software Freedom Day 2012, including LibreOffice 3.6.1 and Mozilla Firefox 15.0.1 A full listing of the software included on the DVD and download link can be found at http://www.ttcsweb.org/osswin-dvd/ Kind Regards, Dev Anand Teelucksingh

Hi again, Seun Ojedeji is totally right. As I already wrote to the personal email you sent me we understand that in some places of the world (or even for people who found out about SFD a bit late) celebrating SFD on the "official" date can be difficult. As long as you make it clear on your event materials, website and SFD wiki that you will be celebrating on a different date, it is fine with us. Hi, I'm Haris from Semarang, Indonesia. I want to ask about SFD Event Date. It's already determined by 15 September 2012. My question is, can we held event not at that time? We plan to held SFD event on 7 October 2012. Is that okay? Thanks Haris.
