SFD Annual Meeting: 1 December, 1200UTC on IRC

Hi SFDers, How would you like to have a say in the running of Software Freedom Day? Software Freedom International is holding its annual meeting on Tuesday 1 December at 12.00 UTC (that's 20.00 in Beijing and 07.00 in New York). We'll be electing a new board, as well as discussing plans for the future - and we're always open to contributions from members of the community who'd like to help out making things happen! The meeting will be happening on IRC (channel #sfd-meeting on irc.freenode.net) The names of people who've previously indicated they'd like to attend, and those who are interested in being on the board, are shown at the bottom of this email. Let me know if you'd like your name added. PARTCIPATING IN THE MEETING

Dear Robert, My name is Misheck Mutuzana, i have been working with colleagues on the Copperbelt province in Zambia to give awareness to schools, community about open source software. I have done several workshops in open source software (Ubuntu version - Open office writer, open office calc, open office impress etc). I also particpated in the recent Software Freedom Day were we met with teachers from different schools. We distributed ubuntu software to schools on the coperbelt. Hi Mossaab! So how did your day go? We're all looking forward to hearing from you. Last SFD event for this year will happen next weekend on November 7th @ Qingdao in China (as far as I know). Thanks to everyone, I think we can already say this year participation has been a step up from last year and want to thank everyone for making it happen!
