Yep, things change in time... Although HTML 4.01 and other SPECS never succeeded to the point of making serving valid HTML/XHTML a rule of thumb, or best practice, things seem to have improved a bit since our early days (just my perception out of finding more and more dillo-readable sites these days). Escaping ' as APOS finds a solid reason in server contexts where there's a need to accept untrusted input for scripts or databases. I'd say, +1, feel free to commit. PS: Please post a sample URL. Just to get the feel of it. ;) -- Cheers Jorge.-

'#' in file url

That's because '#' is not a valid character inside a URL. Technically: /* * Regular Expression as given in RFC3986 for URL parsing. * * ^(([^:/?#]+):)?(//([^/?#]*))?([^?#]*)(\?([^#]*))?(#(.*))? * 12 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 * * scheme = $2 * authority = $4 * path = $5 * query = $7 * fragment = $9 * [...] i.e. anything after '#' is a 'fragment'. and BTW, that's why the file dpi escapes '#' as '%23' to be able to show the file. HTH. -- Cheers Jorge.-

I had two files with '#' in their names that I wanted to view -- file#1.png and file#2.png -- and dillo showed me the same file in each tab.

I wonder whether it would make sense to gather lots of hyphenation files into a separate .tar.gz or something. Speaking of keeping things small, doc/not-so-simple-container.png is currently 150K.

Tab closing order

by jcid＠dillo.org

Hi there, Just committed a patch that improves the workflow for those of use that make regular use of tabbed browsing. Now, upon closing the active tab, the browser focuses the previously visited one (before it was just an adjacent one). Dillo now remembers the full focus history of them. I hope you like it as much as I do. ;) -- Cheers Jorge.-

Good point. I will fix that. Cheers, Johannes

What do we plan to distribute? I was looking up where the ones in test/ come from, and for instance http://mirrors.ctan.org/language/hyphenation/ushyph/ushyph.tex says: % Copyright (C) 1990, 2004, 2005 Gerard D.C. Kuiken. % Copying and distribution of this file, with or without modification, % are permitted in any medium without royalty provided the copyright % notice and this notice are preserved. ..but we just have this bare pattern list available in the repository.

Jeremy wanted to add apos a long time ago, and it didn't happen then, but we did give in and accept application/xhtml+xml--let's see--two years ago now, so I wonder whether conditions have changed.

Changes in hyphenation

Hi Sebastian, On Fri, Nov 02, 2012 at 04:04:52PM +0100, Sebastian Geerken wrote: > On Fri, Nov 02, Sebastian Geerken wrote: > [...] > Johannes patch is (with some changes) applied. I have no problems with the latest patch. The code respects PRE formatted code inserting a horizontal scroll when necessary. FWIW, without this last patch, I had problems with the attached test case. BTW, what will happen with HTML pages that quote full-paragraph-in-one-line emails with PRE? (unfortunately I don't have an example page at hand). -- Cheers Jorge.-
