[Dillo-dev]Good news with the FLTK port

Hi there! Here are some good news with our current progress in porting dillo to FLTK. It has being going-on very fast and we have made great progress so far. An image is worth a thousand words, so look here: http://www.dillo.org/test/ph1.png That's Dillo with a FLTK GUI, and with a Dw over FLTK too! Note the antialiased text. We're still in the process of getting the GTK object model out of Dillo (so we don't need to link with gtk). The IO engine is also running natively over FLTK. There's still some work to do on the UI and Dw is going C++. The rest of dillo will remain in C. We're also cleaning up the sources design. Once we get to a more complete prototype, it will need some polishing and testing. At that time it'll be uploaded so everyone can help. Technical note: we're using FLTK 2.0 from CVS. About other topics if dillo add DOM handling code, or someway to modify web page state, to DPI1, so an external DPI can do javascript like another person have post here, it can be very easy that another DPI manage menus, buttons, etc if the dillo interface is included like another web page. It can delete some interface code and reuse other code. About graphical DPIs (DPI2) a good way can be embed aplications(DPIs) in dillo like sylpheed-claws embed dillo in it. there are some flash player that can be used in this way for example. ¿can it be useful? ¿what do developers think? [Dillo-dev]"Medium priority" "Make cookies into a dpi server" task

Hello. I like dillo proyect and i want to help in its develop. I have look at the current plans list of dillo developers and i think i can code the "Medium priority" "Make cookies into a dpi server" task. Is somebody intersted in it too? If we are more the work can be done fast an it is less to every one. I want to start a short talk in the list before coding it. what features do this task need-not need? I think that a good change can be to use the netscape-mozilla-firefox-galeon-etc cookies file format. So some utilities can work better with dillo. For example wget can use cookies in this format and wget is used by dillo. Or even use a external program that exist yet to manage cookies. (gtkcookie for example. Hi, I just have had some good experiences with html2ps, and I had the thought of mapping a button to it to enable printing. Does the dpi support the addition of a button yet ? In that case it would be quite simple. / regars, Lars Segerlund.

And for your system, the resolver system seems to prefer to return IPv6 (or dillo seems to prefer to take the IPv6). However, you don't have an IPv6 route/address/something. BTW, OpenBSD behaves similarly. Two solutions : - turn off routing of IPv6 entirely. I haven't tried that yet but I just recently read how to do it. It is a simple "route ....-inet6 ...." command. (I should look it up). - Make dillo look more carefully what addresses are returned. Maybe make dillo try both when the first does not work ? I have forwarded to you directly a > screen capture of the site accessed with dillo .... I have a similar problem, that I haven't noticed with my system before. I'm running Dillo 0.8.4 on NetBSD 2.0-RELEASE built from pkgsrc, I'm pretty sure it's pkgsrc-2004Q4 Anyways, maybe it's a BSD specific problem? I can't get to a FreeBSD system right now, but if anybody else can check and see? -R. Tyler Ballance

Hello Guys, First of all, congratulations on the excellent work achieved on dillo. Sadly I was only introduced to dillo recently, however I now use it every day for about 1-2 hours browsing CVSWEB. I love the way bookmarks are handled! On to more important topics, I have a strange problem which I dont understand. I believe it could possibly be dillo related. I am currently using Dillo 0.8.4 for your information. The problem is strange. A few websites I browse on a regular basis cannot be viewed. I get the error: ERROR: No route to host. However, I can ping and view these websites using another browser. An example of a website I cannot view is: www.netbsd.org/ The system dillo is on currenly runs DragonFly BSD following the Stable tag. Whats really strange is I can ping and view these websites using other means =/ Hope someone can shead some light on to my problem. If anymore information is needed, please ask! Regards, -- - Liam J. Either something has happened between dillo-0.8.4 and the CVS tag you're tracking or the problem isn't just with dillo.
