Since HTTP redirects may also applied on content types other than HTML, it would have to be handles in another way (e.g. by a message window, or an other additional GUI element within the browser window). Actually, HTTP redirects are the task of the cache, which should not care about the content (and type), and so may not create the appropriate HTML. (META-reqresh is handled by the HTML parser.) Dillo on Solaris

Just pulled latest dillo from CVS & compiled on Solaris 8. It's a pretty slick browser. Some things to fix for Solaris builds: nanosleep() needs to be linked with -lrt. Adding something like: case $system in SunOS) LDFLAGS="$LDFLAGS -lrt" ;; esac to configure.in seems to fix that problem. Also, Solaris seems to not have AF_LOCAL and SUN_LEN defined. Adding defs for those two somewhere -- in a header or in dpi.c seems to fix those problems. #ifndef AF_LOCAL #define AF_LOCAL AF_UNIX #endif #ifndef SUN_LEN /* This system is not POSIX.1g. */ #define SUN_LEN(ptr) ((size_t) \ (((struct sockaddr_un *) 0)->sun_path) \ + strlen ((ptr)->sun_path)) #endif (I swiped that code from the nautilis project.) With those fixes & got it to built & it seems to work. Dillo & Sylpheed-Claws integration page updated

Hi, I updated my pages concerning the integration of Dillo as an HTML mail viewer in Sylpheed-Claws. New screenshots reflecting the use of Dillo 0.7.0 were also added. The plans concerning Sylpheed-Claws were included, too. The URL is: http://melvin.hadasht.free.fr/home/dillo/sylpheed/ To summarize: currently, and not before Claws 0.8.11, Claws must be patched with the patches I provide in that page. It is planned that Claws 0.8.11 will officially include support to embed Dillo to view HTML mail. The current version of Claws is 0.8.9 and 0.8.10 is soon to be released. Next release...

Hi there! I tried to make the release from where I'am now, but there're still some issues pending. For instance: the bookmarks server doesn't work when there's no bm.txt file, the conversion from the old format is not automatic and most importantly, bm_srv12.c code should be inside the final tarball. Some of those were fixed today (not commited yet) and the latter is pending. The problem is I don't know when I'll be able to reconnect, but in the meanwhile I will work on finishing the 0.7.0 tarball, so the next email should be something like a test petition for the candidate tarball. So far dpi over unix sockets has been tested in GNU.Linux and *BSD environments. See you soon Jorge.- PS: please keep reporting any further troubles you may find. Livio and Sebastian are still online and can take care of it.

Our configure.in tests libpng and libjpeg, and it SHOULD abort if those aren't present, _but_ as dillo doesn't have support for running without images in a clean way --it will in the near future (not in 0.7.0 though)--, so we left configure.in as it is now.
