Contains automatic meta-refresh, no-cache/expire cache control, showing alt text while loading images, some stupid hacks for javascript urls and simply weird relative urls, fast search engine queries by typeing '?query text' into address bar and some other changes (read the patch...). Warning: meta-refresh and cache control could be abused by bad-behaving sites. -- mzz

META refresh

I would like to get dillo to respond to META-refresh without stopping with a warning message. Is there a simple way that I can do that? I have looked around at the code and can make a few changes and recompile, but as yet I am not proficient enough to know what to change and where.

How do I compile the dillo cvs? I've run aclocal, autoconf, (automake fails though). I then run ./configure, which fails configure: error: can not find install-sh or install.sh in . ./.. ./../.. Thanks

Anyway, I've attached is a five-minutes-hack, which fills this function, and binds it to the page menu. In this form, it won't certainly find its way into the "official" version, but you may find it useful. Sebastian

Can I do this with dillo?

Hi there, I've a project in hands where we'll do some sort of kiosk's with linux for some users. We'll use Linux (cost savings) and we need a _FAST_ browser. I've seen dillo working and I think its HTML rendering capabilities are OK for my needs my I need to print some "basic" stuff (like small lists and stuff). Can I do such a thing with dillo? I've just committed event handling for DwTable, test it e.g. by selecting text in the red bar at <http://www.daemonnews.org>. There are still some glitches, e.g. in the splash screen, with the pointer on the thin black lines), but these are minor issues, in most cases selection works reasonable and (in all cases) stable, so I'd like to finish the work on it for the 0.7.2 release. Further features (scrolling, word selection and some others) will be done for 0.7.3 or later. Sebastian
