The Feasibility study is done, a porting plan was designed, some testing code made, and a new Dw abstraction layer developed. Unfortunately Sebastian has not had enough time to work on it. I'm playing around with GPE-feed dillo2_0.6.6-r0_arm.ipk AFAIK, the latest GPE is GTK2.x based. Dillo needs GTK1.x. Nevertheless, familiar seems to carry GTK1.x because it has a dillo-0.8.1 package. BTW, as of familiar website, they also carry FLTK. Embedded systems' toolkits are not my strongest area. Please post here anything interesting that you may find about it. -- Cheers Jorge.-

[Dillo-dev]configurable page increment

Hello. I'd like to make the page increment configurable. I liked the old half-page behavior, and would like to be able to use that instead of the current "96% of the viewport" method. However, I don't really know where to start, or how to hook into dillo's configuration system. Ideally, I'd like to set values for how much to scroll on each type of scroll event: PgUp/Dn, Space/BkSpace, arrows, and the mouse wheel. (96%, 50%, 1 line, and 2 lines, respectively) I've found the code which configures one of these events, thanks to a snippet early on this list ("0.96 * allocation->height"), but don't know where/how to handle the others. So, any hints? Or, alternately, does anyone with more of a clue feel like adding this? -- Scott

[Dillo-dev]does the mailing list still work

I haven't received mailing list for a long time. Does it still work? By the way, can anyone tell me that how the html is rendered? I know the html text can be parsed into some data structures and then these data structures are delivered to renderer. Another way is to render one object immediately after it is created. Which method does dillo apply? If it uses the first methond, what are the corresponding data structures that keep information of the html tags. If uses the second one, what event triggers the renderer? And how the objects are rendered? If anyone can send me some documents about those subjects, I will be very grateful. Thank you very much!

[Dillo-dev]what does branch mean

Hello everybody: Now I'm studying CCC model of dillo. I see many many modules have their chain functions, whose parameters are similar. When a_Chain_link_new(AInfo...) is called, A new chain is created and a new link is established between the new chain and old chain -- AInfo. Now what confuses me is that what the branch mean? There are only numeric branch,1, 2, 3,... I don't know what they imply. And when a chain function is called, such as a_Cache_ccc(Op, Branch, Dir, Info, Data1, Data2), where does Info come from and what's its meaning? Thank you!

Not gratuitously though, but because it handles complex tasks as the parallelism of IO, dns resolving, and all the per-task state, sync, and its error handling. > Where can I find a more detailed document about it? These modes are flags that let the parser know how to treat the source when switching from one to another. _INIT almost not used. Flags the state before parsing. _BODY is for generic HTML. _VERBATIM is for text that should not be interpreted. _PRE is for handling the <PRE> element. _STASH groups words into a string, and when done processes the sentence as a whole. _STASH_AND_BODY is a bit of a hack to allow for constructing the page index menu from header elements. -- Cheers Jorge.-

Hi all, Just as a miscellaneous little bit of curious information: while taking a Mobile Computing course during my first semester here at the University of Toronto, I've learned of the citation of Dillo in a few mobile computing papers: [1] Ghosts in the Machine: Interfaces for Better Power Management http://notrump.eecs.umich.edu/group/papers/mobisys04.pdf Work from University of Michigan, presented in Mobisys'2004 (a very good conference in the mobile area). Won the best paper award. Dillo is used to measure energy savings in the proposed system. [2] Transport Protocol Optimization For Energy Efficient Wireless Embedded Systems http://www.ee.princeton.edu/~anand/pub_links/date03_tcp.pdf Work from Princeton, presented in Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference and Exhibition (DATE 03) Dillo, again, is used in the evaluation section for energy-savings measurements. [3] Chameleon: Application Controlled Power Management with Performance Isolation http://lass.cs.umass.edu/~lass/papers/pdf/TR04-26.pdf Just a technical report from University of Massachusetts Amherst Also used in evaluation section. Again for energy savings/power-management. The papers themselves have nothing directly to do with Dillo, but it was still nice to see it being mentioned and used in the mobile-research community.
