Oh, yes. Originally, --local was meant for local files only. To allow safe displaying of HTML email in sylpheed (IIRC). Now, from the console help given by dillo, it seems like it should work with non-local URLs too. It makes sense to me, although I haven't found a compelling use case for that. I notice that redirection defeats --local. You go to www.dillo.org and images aren't loaded. You go to dillo.org, it redirects to www.dillo.org, and images are loaded.

Builds and runs fine on 32-bit debian with fltk svn updated to some point within the past few days. I notice that searching the web from the popup shows "dd" due to the recent fix, which isn't very descriptive, but of course I recognize that it can't really be both descriptive for the popup window search and brief for Location bar search at the same time -- and the meaning of dd would become clear as soon as a search is tried.
