Hi, [ok] Fixed CustLightButton "light" color deactivation When hiding, or leaving a highlighted button into another tab, the "light" state lingered. This was specially nasty on deactivated buttons as there was no easy way to recover the normal state. e.g. * Keep the mouse over Stop until the page fully loads. * With mouse over Forw, go forward with keyboard until the end. * Mouse over Home, Ctrl-t, mouse click previous tab. * Start loading a page, mouse over Stop, Ctrl-t, wait for the page to fully load, go back to the loading tab * Mouse ove Home, hide panels, move mouse, show panels. * etc. -- Cheers Jorge.-

Ideas? Try adding the line filter_auto_requests=allow_all to your ~/.dillo/dillorc file and see if that fixes it. Dillo's default is to only load images/stylesheets from the same domain. It helps privacy a bit (since it can't load ads, etc.), but breaks a lot of sites, including Google Images, Wikipedia, etc. ~Benjamin

Capi_filters_test not displaying pictures

After upgrading to dillo-2.2.1, many thumbnail sites, like images.google.com for example, don't work properly. I get messages like: Capi_filters_test: DENY from 'images.google.ca' to 't3.gstatic.com' and the thumbnail doesn't display. Oddly enough, it does display after I click on the thumbnail. Ideas?

dillo_port1.3: segfault someplace on reload of news.google.com

I've got a segfault using dillo_port1.3 by continuously hitting the Reload button with the following url: http://www.google.com/search?aq=f&hl=en&gl=us&tbm=nws&btnmeta_news_search=1… After about three or four taps, dillo disappears and I don't see anything within the debug output from the startx window. (Using DWM and manually starting startx within a terminal here.) I don't think I've compiled with -g, -ggdb, etc... but here's what I've got so far. I'll try to bit-bang this a little bit more tomorrow when I get time if nobody else gets this. My guess so far, when running within GDB, reload button works continuously without crashing until I start clicking before the page finishes reloading, then segfault. Right. Fortunately it's easy to recover by moving the mouse pointer to its location. CSS complained about "no values" for padding, and it turned out to be something like <element style="padding: 10px 15px"> Html_get_attr2() is removing the '\n' completely. It turns out that we're doing the right thing (whereas I expected it to be replaced by a ' ') because the style attr is %StyleSheet, which is CDATA, and we are instructed to "Ignore line feeds" for CDATA. But I'm writing this down anyway because it surprised me, and it's good to save this away in the list archives (which may well have a few variations on this already from years past). (Or is it coming to be time to admit defeat for html4 and start looking in the shocking endless immensity that is html5 when it comes to such matters?)

Here's a big blob of gunk that, in a Spanish locale, makes the Tools button try to say "Herramientas" and only have room for "Herramient". http://www.dillo.org/test/gettext.0.diff.bz2 No doubt it'll fail to configure/compile/work if someone tries it, but...

I was running dillo under strace, and whenever the cursor moves over a link, out comes: open("/home/corvid/.icons/default/cursors/hand2", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) open("/home/corvid/.icons/default/index.theme", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) open("/usr/share/icons/default/cursors/hand2", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) open("/usr/share/icons/default/index.theme", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) open("/usr/share/pixmaps/default/cursors/hand2", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) open("/usr/share/pixmaps/default/index.theme", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) ..and looks for an xterm cursor when over a Fl_Input, and then looks for things like open("/usr/share/X11/locale/compose.dir", O_RDONLY) = 4 open("/usr/share/X11/locale/iso8859-1/Compose", O_RDONLY) = 4 ..now and then when dealing with the toolbar or its tooltips or something. Maybe FLTK has a deep reason for this, but I would have expected it to make up its mind when it first needed all of this during execution.

I just committed a fix. Now the user- and the useragent-stylesheets are no longer shared between CssContexts. With attached debug-patch you can test the time needed to recreate them on each page load. For me the times were below 1ms. In a nutshell, you can wrap the strings in the code: "Open" becomes _("open") and gettext does the job of providing the closest string given local settings [1]. On most toolkits widget resize is automatic, but with FLTK there's a need to articulate the resize "by hand". Imagine we have our "tools" button, and we use gettext with a spanish local: .-----. C / Tools '-----' "Tools" becomes "Herramientas", what happens with out button? .-----. C / Herra '-----' or .------------. C / Herramientas '------------' (FWIW, I don't know the answer). I know that you can do this by editing the keysrc but I think that by default Dillo should copy Firefox by using Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab to navigate among tabs and freeing Tab and Shift-Tab to navigate around the page. Patch attached. Comments? Should I push? Regards, Jeremy Henty
