Software Freedom Day is on the 19th (this Saturday) the point of having it on the same day all over the world is that we can focus media attention, sponsors etc. and market the heck out of open source software. If we all start having SFD on our own days it will still be great, but hardly an international software freedom day.

Andre, While you do make a good point from an advocacy perspective, we can hardly host SFD on the 19th this year because our campus would have "an audience of three" on a Saturday. We are hosting it tomorrow (Sept 17).
