IRC SFD event hang out and talks on the day of SFD
What about having a general hang out and even talks on IRC on the day of SFD? It would show attendees the worldwide nature of the event and Software Freedom. And having IRC "talks"/workshops would be a great way to tap into the Free Software expertise from around the world. Regards, Mike.

I think it's an excellent idea! I will hang out in IRC for sure on 17th Sept! For languages, we can always prepare other languages SFD channels and start to promote the language channel in mailing list and sfd discuss mailing list of course e.g. sfd-"your language" e.g. #sfd-cn for chinese, #sfd-ru for Russian.
