Just a reminder that Hardware Freedom Day 2026 on April 18th is almost here. https://digitalfreedoms.org/en/hfd It's a great time to get together with people in your neighborhood and discuss topics such as Right to Repair, creating Makerspaces, reducing electronic waste and reusing old computers and/or what to do when there's an emergency like a power outage or the Internet goes down. What are you doing this Saturday? Please share posts about Hardware Freedom Day on your favorite social media channels and blogs and include #HFD2026
Too much breakage on that form: - Unknown error acquiring position So test with lots of browser inc. various old. (people can have good reasons to not run latest browsers.) - Button "Juegen" ?! = "Debug" ? - Not obvious what to fill in what box & where to click after, to get any map of nearest events up, it should list at least show one event named "Dummy" (maybe on GMT line at equator) so one knows map is working. I tried for Aachen & Europe & 1000 km, & all attempts failed. To test, get people naieve & clueless & in a rush who dont know how its supposed to work, & do Not tell them. No use an author testing own page, they know what to fill where. Get people who will give up fast if it doesnt work & report "Broken" With just 3 days to go & no events in Europe 1000 km radius no time to fix web & organise events, I'd suggest just fix well before next year. (PS I have organised 2 SFD before in Munich, but now in Aachen, & no free time yet to org. anything. I or others might org. an SFD or HFD some later year). I'll mention HFD to a maker event tonight https://www.meetup.com/aachen-maker-meetup/ Cheers, -- Julian Stacey http://berklix.eu/jhs/mail/ Can't reply to Gmail & Yahoo. Arm Ukraine.
