Retailer advertisements
An idea that has been floated for SFD is to have an eeePC available for people to play with. The thought is to approach a local retailer for a loan of one for the day in return for some sort of advertising for that retailer at the event. Would this be seen as appropriate and in the spirit of the event? -- Free and Open education for all Peter Ruwoldt Grant High School Hosking Avenue MOUNT GAMBIER SA 5290 P. 08 87263128 F. 08 87250173 ruwoldtp@granths.sa.edu.au http://ruwoldtp.googlepages.com/
Well, we want to encourage software that is free as in freedom; free as in beer is just a welcome side effect. Any business that's willing to support us in this endeavour should (IMO) be more than welcome to take part; a lot of open source free software products are developed in commercial contexts, and promoting a business promoting Linux makes perfect sense. As long as the Eee isn't running XP, of course :) On Mon, Apr 28, 2008 at 9:53 PM, Peter Ruwoldt <ruwoldtp@gmail.com> wrote:
