Leaflets and poster for Albury-Wodonga, Australia team
Greetings, Over the past few days I've whipped up a pretty (well i think so ;)) little double-folded leaflet for SFD, as it was something I couldn't find already done. It explains briefly what Open Source is, and disambiguates the term 'free' (likely not necessary in languages other than english) some of the open source applications on TheOpenCD are, with the application logos in the descriptions. The files: (also added to the artwork wikipage) PDF of the flier - colour background: http://geekosophical.net/misc/sfd/sfdflier.pdf Source .sla and images for the above flier: http://geekosophical.net/misc/sfd/sfdflier.tar.gz PDF of the flier - white background (suitible for b/w photocopies): http://geekosophical.net/misc/sfd/sfdflier_bw.pdf Source .sla and images for the above flier: http://geekosophical.net/misc/sfd/sfdflier_bw.tar.gz I have also put up the poster I've done for the local event I am running. http://geekosophical.net/misc/sfd/sfdposter.svg Feedback welcome. Enjoy :) -- Sincerely Melissa Draper http://www.meldraweb.com Phone: 0404 595 395 (intl): +61 404 595 395 P.O Box 1412 Lavington, NSW 2641

Hi Melissa, These look great, I've already started modifying the poster for our event! However, I've run into a problem with the fonts used in the sfdflier.sla: * MgOpen Modata Regular * MgOpen Moderna Bold * MgOpen Moderna BoldOblique * Minya Nouvelle Bold Are these available for download from anywhere? In Ubuntu and Debian repositories, they are in the ttf-mgopen package. Maybe whichever distro you run has a similar package? -- Sincerely Melissa Draper http://www.meldraweb.com Phone: 0404 595 395 (intl): +61 404 595 395 P.O Box 1412 Lavington, NSW 2641

Uh, and by 'they', I meant the MgOpen fonts. I'm pretty sure I did not use the minya font at all, but it is what scribus has set as it's default font. -- Sincerely Melissa Draper http://www.meldraweb.com Phone: 0404 595 395 (intl): +61 404 595 395 P.O Box 1412 Lavington, NSW 2641
