Hi! It's still a long year before the next Software Freedom Day, but for viral marketing purposes it would be nice to have some artwork for the 19th of september 2009. Especially the software freedom day 09-logo would be nice to have available, in either SVG or high resolution format for printing. For examples of web banners for this years event, see http://softwarefreedomday.se/2008/08/16/28/ We'll try for next year to get these things out sooner, to be able to anchor the event in organizations and institutions all over Sweden. For that, we need to produce posters and pamphlets with the new logo, so that people are able to download and print them. And a new (good looking) website. Is it possible to release a 2009-version of the logo (at least)? Kindest Regards, Mathias Friman Sweden

Hi all, I'll second Mathias' request, it would be good to start putting the Software Freedom Day 2009 logo onto web sites and emails (if you use HTML email) as soon as possible. Can the date be incorporated into the logo as a smaller subtext so people start to associate 19 September 2009 as Software Freedom Day? -- Steve Computer Support Officer P/T Teacher Information Technology P/T Arts & IT Faculty Bathurst TAFE NSW Western Institute Phone: 02 6338 2450 email: steve@bathurst-tafe.nsw.edu.au .... _ ... Hello, thirded. But first can we wrap up SFD08 outstanding matters, to set SFD09 on the right track please? Our team hasn't submitted its team report yet, because it has yet to receive all the t-shirts it paid for at the SFI store. 3 out of 4 arrived, and this is the second year our purchase pack has been sent short. What is SFI doing to resolve these anomalies in its administration, to garner stronger endorsement? Regards, Rik pp Team Christchurch NZ
Dear Rik, I was responsible for sending the goodies and store purchases. I need to wait until Monday to check our records. I've also been traveling like hell during the past few months so I might have overlooked this issue. Sorry about it. Let me get back to you tomorrow off the list. If I don't then please do ping me directly. Now not submitting the report has unfortunately nothing to do with the t-shirt and you're missing out on the competition. Thanks Fred Rik Tindall wrote:
