Hi SFD teams. Most of you have finished, but a few cities inc. mine (Munich) still have to do theirs (ours on 22nd Oct) http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Resources/ Has some movies & sound, but not many lectures. If any of you gave lectures, could you please put a URL to them on the wiki (or at least post to list) I'm looking for English or German lectures. Thanks ! Unfortunately they all seem to be Flash proprietary binary, So my browser won't display them (I find Flash a security risk + PITA to use constantly variant versions of shims between FreeBSD & Linux to enable Flash, so I dont view flash myself, though others in my city's team may). + if any of our city's lecturers give the lecture, they'd more need lecture notes than the video (it's quite common here BTW for German lecturers to lecture in German from lecture slides imported in English). Though I suppose we could hitch laptop to projector & just play it, & connect some speakers to laptop ... Hmm :-) Cheers, Julian -- Julian Stacey, BSD Unix Linux C Sys Eng Consultants Munich http://berklix.com Reply below, not above; Indent with "> "; Cumulative like a play script. Format: Plain text. ouch! We once in a while have those 500 errors while trying to save wiki pages and I can't find any trace or anything in the logs. The only solutions so far have been to either come back the next day and it would 'just work', or ask someone to insert content for you. As it hasn't been bad enough nothing further has been done to investigate. Fred On 10/11/2011 03:58 PM, Julian H. Stacey wrote:

OK Thanks Fred, fair enough. I know the feeling on rare errors :-) I suggest take a quick look for strings localhost & perhaps 127.0.0.1 in the wiki & apache configs, as localhost should not be leaking out, You may not find the error that was stoping me, but you'll probably find something [else] :-) Background info: my end was under heavy net traffic thus slow response.

I did do some succesfull small edits somehow, (& some unsuccesful) but the text I committed wasn't good enough so I deleted my changes & tried to prepare a set off line to paste in, & completely failed, with eg ============= http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Resources/Lectures#preview ---- Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
