For the CD/DVD we're remastering OpenDisc -- so far I've created OpenDisc-lite which is a CD image (dropped Wesnoth, added lincityng, scorched3d and tuxmath instead. This week I plan to create OpenDisc-plus which will include full support for OSX (autorun, kiwix, Either WindowsOSX application icon to install side by side or a seperate set of HTML for the OSX versions, and dmg's for all software) and quite a few extra programs. Who thought it was a good idea to create a DVD that's only half a program larger than a CD?!! We're aiming for 2.5-3GB. I'll try to make the iso available for others as soon as it's ready, probably a torrent because I don't know where I can host a big DVD image.
Dear Bruce, The normal team pack has been sent to peachgrove road (tracking EMS EB19575219CN) as we couldn't get the parcel back. once your ISO is available to do plan on merging with OpenDisc or maintaining it? It would be a good idea, but I've spent all day working on this and it looks like it might be beyond me; I can't get any help from anyone with kiwix, the current version is only for Linux and none of the older versions (such as the one used on OpenDisc) are available for download other than as part of a (large) CD image, and I have no idea how osx normally handles software on CD but it seems there's no autorun and it's virtually impossible to launch any kind of installer from a web browser (security features). This has been a very frustrating day. Also adding any software to OpenDisc is a painful process. Judging from the existing pages it looks like they've been building all the html by hand, one program at a time. Slow and painful, and I've found quite a few errors already. I used to maintain my own similar CD and had scripts to build the html from plain text descriptions, but I don't really have time to re-write all those scripts for OpenDisc so we'll be lucky if we can add more than a few programs and still have enough time to burn all the disks.

Dear Jorge, We paid for all the shipping costs. What you were asked to pay for is probably custom taxes as in some countries they do not care much whether what you receive is free or not. Also note that we had to use DHL for some countries where EMS wouldn't deliver (unreliable post office network, easy to lose goods, etc).
