Hi David/Fred:
I'm from Mexico and I think it is much better to call it "Central America", this will be clear for people in my country. These are the 4 regions that most people use when referring to the term"Subdivision of Americas":

North America Central America Caribbean South America

Ok but you're aware that Mexico is NOT Central America as per this definition?
Mexico is in North America. Always has been, always will be! {;->
Sorry, in this point it doesn't interest that country belongs or not to some region. Regions or not regions, this is the questions. Already with Pia one had spoken that it was better to make it short. softwarefreedomday.org is already an url something long + continent/region+country+team It is not good neither for people neither for the bots. a lot of click or redirecciones, neither are good.

Actually some things we did on other events is just having a pointer page. So: softwarefreedomday.org/Cancun -> softwarefreedomday.org/NorthAmerica/Mexico/QRoo/Cancun or something similar.
Good point. Cheers, David

Sorry, not ok. We delete though. we have a URL shortener service at www.softwarefreedomday.org/s which does about the same thing, and allows you to pick your team name (rather than the city - it would be nice if some team leaders realize that there can be more than one team per city and leave room for it). I definitely have no problem with no continent. So now we need feedback from people in other places of the world ;-) Fred
