Hello, I just uploaded the needed files for the spanish Countdown [0]. I can't remove the files already there, from 2011. I also edited the frontpage [1] adding spanish to the language availables. I'm only requesting for review the files and the script, which I made them by inertia. :P Cheers, [0] http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown/es [1] http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown -- Rodrigo Rodríguez http://mundonomada.info __ Prohibido prohibir. Great! Everything looks fine but for some unknown reasons softwarefreedomday.org is currently blocked where I live. I do use tunneling but that only works with http. Besides I could always ssh into a foreign box and then ssh back to softwarefreedomday.org but that means I would have to move my private keys which is not something I feel very hot about. Those blocks usually don't stay very long so hopefully I will be able to activate the countdown very soon. Thank you very much for a very much needed contribution! I did an upload earlier last month with the translated countdown, not sure if something was wrong with that copy. http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown/es?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=countdown_source2012_Es.svg and http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/CountDown/es?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=countdown_source2011-es.tar On 8/2/12, Frederic Muller - DFI <fred@softwarefreedomday.org> wrote:

I also think this is a good chance to upgrade to a more HTML5 approach and use SVG Javascripting capabilities to do an SVG-counter that allow further costumization like dynamic localization. Since SVG is scriptable and take JS, you can access both Date objects and textContent. This could provide easier localization through JSON objects, automating for every project. You are pulling from the 2011 code I am afraid.

That should be fixed right now! The god of the Chinese internet has decided that I could ssh to our sfd server today so I could enable the Spanish countdown. A bit of background information for people following this: if the png files are not attached in the wiki page I cannot enable the script. In that case the last image of last year "see you in 2012" is displayed. Now that the script incorporates the Spanish flag the images are being refreshed. Nothing to change on your side. Sorry for the delay. Fred On 08/02/2012 09:56 PM, Ingeniero Forigua wrote:

Replying to myself: i noticed a slight blur on the image when displaying on your website. Explaination: the png export was done in a slightly different size: 89 x 159. If you want to get clear display then you need to update the width and height parameters to those 2 values. I'll update the wiki page for Spanish. Hi! Sorry for missing that one. In the future note that I need the png files attached to the page. Should you have included them in the tar file, we can't easily untar from moinmoin, so zip will be a better format (one upload, unzip and all the png are there - rather than 100+ uploads). Also please do ping the mailing list, we have limited resources and are humans too: sometimes we just miss things. As a double check this year we have been using our microbloging accounts a lot more and each new countdown was announcement after activation. Spanish wasn't. This should tick you off too (like in "nothing has been done yet, I should ping them"). And as a last excuse, life has been a bitch for us this year, someone has been diagnosed with a very serious (as in incurable) disease in my family, I lost half of my vision last week, and my home internet has been dead since I am back from the doctor. Vision is back so hopefully we can process the goodies soon (I'm picking up the T-shirts today). So you know everything now! Fred On 08/02/2012 08:29 PM, Alexandro Colorado wrote:
