Just found out Code for America is having a National Civic Hacking Day on the same day as Software Freedom Day. Was thinking it might be nice if they combined their event with Software Freedom Day and used it to help promote both groups. Maybe if some of us contact them and suggest it, they'll add their event as a part of Software Freedom Day.
