Hi all What do you have or recommend for a handout in German? I'm thinking of anything between 3 to 12 pages, nicely formattes as in computer magazines, if possible. Visvanath

I might have some material from our community. This should be an introduction to those who have heard of Free Software but never used and may be a bit sceptical. Many of them are investigating because of the wave of spy scandals. As I said, we can make color prints of upto max. 12 pages. Which means it can go beyound mere "ideology" but present practical examples. I did a web search and noted the following links. For me good printing quality is important, so we don't want to just print web pages. - http://wiki.zum.de/Freie_Software_in_der_Schule - http://www.bytewise.at/texte/freie-software.pdf - http://www.mapmedia.de/open-source - http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freie_Software - http://kilianmuster.com/blog/warum-freie-software-wichtig-ist - https://www.bsi-fuer-buerger.de/BSIFB/DE/MeinPC/OpenSourceSoftware/FragenUnd... - http://perspektive89.com/2006/12/26/kulturtechnik_software_warum_organisatio... - http://fsfe.org/freesoftware/transcripts/rms-fs-2006-03-09.de.html Grüsse! @mod, My previous try is held up in the moderation list, perhaps due to the attachment. Discard it, this version has no attachments: Hi all

Not to the original subject, here is a short list we prepared, which will be accompanied by a data CD, in case anybody could use. http://www.ratnaweera.net/visvanath/scratch/cd-beilage.odt (Will be deleted on Saturday) Visvanath
Hi! Yes we have many pages on the wiki to put attachments which are either the Artwork page, your own team page or any of the marketing topic which we deal with. The reason why we do this is that there are probably a lot more people looking at the wiki than looking at an email from a specific date on the mailing list archive. So great work needs great support :) ! Thank you. Fred On 19/09/13 17:26, Visvanath Ratnaweera wrote:

Thanks for the response! Could you suggest me the relevant wiki pages? Is http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/ correct? It is giving me site down or busy. I have seen the logos but am looking for magazine like documentation. regards Visvanath

regards Visvanath I'd say for graphics it's usually under Artworks http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Artwork and for other stuff under Resources: http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/Resources
But you have other pages answering specific questions like 101reasons to use FOSS or Event slogans or the FreeCultureDisc... Hope that helps. Fred

Also to note is that there’s a relevant category at Wikicommons, which one could also upload the artwork to. As long as it’s free (as in freedom), of course! [1] https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Software_Freedom_Day BTW, even though slighly not relevant to /Software/ Freedom Day, I’d suggest also having these posters at the event: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia_-_Art_Historian.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia_-_Gamer.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikipedia_-_Musician.jpg […] -- FSF associate member #7257 http://sfd.am-1.org/
