Dear all, As you've seen we have are already streaming Flickr's photo based on tags on several pages of the sfd website. Looking through either posts on our blog or the new sfd blogosphere page (an aggregated google search of several keywords arong SFD) a lot of you host there own photos. I was wondering if there was any 'public api' that would work with popular FOSS photo galleries projects that you may be using. I'd prefer to recommend using a FOSS solution rather than Flickr when people ask me how to get their photos appear on our site. Thanks. Fred

Gallery2 would be it but it's so old it doesn't know about keyword / hashtags / groups. It also has no geotagging support (other than showing lat/long EXIF info through elaborate configuration). Sad, but could be fixed. It also has a functional Android client, mobile sharing of pics is a deal-breaker for many if it's not supported. PIcasa, Flickr and most sharing / social pic services all have such support/APIs. Cheers, Fabian Rodriguez
