Hi Guys, next year's SFD will be saturday the 19th of September, a couple of years ago we settled on the third saturday in september of each year, only, I think we forgot to write it in our own wiki, oops.
Not at all! It is in the wiki, on the front page no less, but rather a long way down. Robert.
Cheers, Phil.

Hello:
After a small but successful inaugural event in Sudbury, Canada[1], I would like to start planning for SFD 2009 - I already have several interested speakers ready to commit to next year's event.
Has a date for 2009 been figured out yet?

It would be great if we could have details the date for next year. Our local LUG had an open day in Torquay, Devon, UK although due to last minute planning and lack of resources we only got a couple of visitors.
We're hoping next year we can get a media partner for the event (I provide IT support to couple of local radio stations in my area and I'm pushing Free Software as an alternative to Microsoft). With any luck and enough pre-promotion and planning we'll be able to increase our visitor numbers.
Hope everyone else's events went well.
Rob
