Good idea! We haven't approached other organization regarding EFD yet, we should definitely talk to as much OER related communities and organizations as we can like Wikieducator, OER Commons, Open Courseware Consortium, Hewlett Foundation, Open University, Connexions...Has anyone consider getting in touch with the Open Knowledge Foundation Network OKFN?

PS. I’m pretty sure that, OTOH, the report of the celebration of EFD
worldwide /will be/ very well within the scope.
