Hi all,
Melissa: apologies for sowing confusion as regards what we're sending to teams. The email you refer to was intended to determine how teams felt about receiving a CD with useful free resources, either in addition to or as a substitute for The Open CD. Previous registrations are in no way invalidated, particularly since we have, on the basis of responses to that email, decided that we will not be changing the team supplies at all (although that's not been announced yet, as you point out).
Also, Pia slipped up when she said that the registration email you received contained a summary of your request - at the moment, the email is simply an acknowledgement of registration. This is something we will change in the registration email next year: it will include all your registration information.
However, unofficially I can answer the original question about what you will be receiving:
* T-shirts: each team will get 3.
* Ubuntu CDs: we will try to send as many as you asked for; the options available were 0, 10, 20, 240, 60, 100, >100. If you asked for more than 100, we will decide on the basis of your event plan how to allocate additional CDs - although we're unlikely to be able to offer more than 100.
* The Open CD: as for Ubuntu CDs, except the choices were 0, 10, 20, >25.
These will all be dispatched around the first week of August; additional Open CDs and T-shirts will be available for purchase through the website (
http://sfd.zac-ware.com/) until the end of July. We may continue selling shirts and CDs after that, although the price may go up (to account for changes in shipping arrangements) and they may not get to you before SFD.
The official announcement about supplies, dates and deadlines will be sent to the SFD-announce mailing list soon.
I hope that answers your questions... let me know if there's anything I left out.
Robert.

I think there may also the factor of confusion with a number of the
teams, especially following the discussion last month about changing
what is being sent/offered to teams, following the email sent by Robert
Schumann that started:
"The organisers of Software Freedom Day have been discussing making some
changes to the supplies we will be making available to SFD teams this
year."[0]
This added the possibility that our orders for this year may be no
longer valid, or that is at least how I interpreted it.
I do not recall there being an outcome of this discussion announced, and
there is no trace of one on the announce list. Was there a decision made?
