I'm dismayed that our area won't be participating in SFD this year. I organized something at the library last year. We had a small but enthusiastic turn-out since the area was still recovering from a hurricane at the time. I was not able to organize anything this year. I asked several programming groups in the area if they were going to do anything for Software Freedom Day and none were interested. Thought that was rather disappointing since all of those groups regularly use FLOSS software. Could use some suggestions on how to find other FLOSS activists in one's area. The various local computer meetups and slack groups do not seem to be a good place to find people interested in actively promoting FLOSS. If anyone's in the South Florida area or knows anyone in that area that would like to do something for SFD (this year or in future years), please let me know. Will probably celebrate SFD this year on my own virtually by updating my Open Source Resource page ( http://www.distasis.com/cpp/pbtc.htm ) and/or playing some entertaining and educational FLOSS games. Hope everyone has a great time this Software Freedom Day.
